You would think that I would've noticed it before. But, because it was carpeted, it just sort of blended in.

It did look factory, don't you wish it was silver or gold?

I think most of the pics of my boat also show a slight list to port...the side with the lead and batts.

Don't you cover your boat everyday? I do, no matter how late or drunk, the cover slips on at night when I pull in my driveway.

I dunno - maybe it was to offset the weight of the driver?

Dunno, that's like a 80lbs battery... is the driver 260lbs?

Then you'd get a ton of replies like:

"I knew that battery shelf wasn't very strong. I'm redesigning it!"

followed by threads with calculations of shear strength and what type of material to use in order to redesign the shelf, etc.
