Yeah - Grant came from Hyperactive, moved down here and bought the Vegas dealership from Matt, and Matt moved up to BC to run Hyperactive's satellite location.

I don't know about responsible but they would deal with it. When I bought my house in CO I was not allowed to talk to the seller. Everything had to go through the broker, real estate agent. If something would have come up I would have had to go back through the real estate agent to resolve the issue. I am glad I did not so I do not know how well that would have actually worked. This is what I would have thought would have happened with the boat.

To Ewok's point at a minimum I would have thought the broker would have said, I am working with the seller and buyer to resolve this, I did not know the condition, I am stepping out of this and letting the seller and buyer deal with the issue, or something.

Not good PR for Hyperactive on that deal but there are always 2 sides to the story.

I agree that the broker/agent should help resolve the problem, but not monetarily responsible to the naive buyer. We are only seeing one side here and its the broker that's getting flamed with no mention of any blame going to the actual seller.

Whan buying used, its always buyer beware.

I can say, that when I was helping our local Tige dealer, who is a friend of mine, back in 08, he had an owner wanting me to broker his 07 RZ2. It was trashed! I told him it needed 5K to just be presentable. he got pissed and complained to the owners dad. He called me out on it so I took him to the boat and showed him what all it needed. He didnt say any more. The seller felt like the boat was in perfect order when in fact it was ROUGH to say the least. I filed the deal away and never mentioned the boat to anyone that was in the market. To this day, that boat is still for sale If the broker could have seen this boat in question, he may have not brokered it

heres the boat. To look at the pics, you would know about the blistered bottom, bent prop, chips below the water line, staned carpet, torn and stained seats, skratched sides and graphics, damaged wheel and brakes on trailer. Thats all I can remember.

For the seller to describe it as "amazing" is sad - but that description is open for interpretation. Unfortunately.
