    Also today...

Good - installed some pieces of Trex to the inside of the transom with adhesive, so that I can install the battery charger.

Bad - after they had been curing for a couple hours, the damn things shifted. It is a real beotch to find a spot against which I could apply a spreader to hold them...the spot I used obviously didn't work well enough. Guess I'll see tomorrow how solid they seem.

It depends, 3 months to a year, and I'll fly from a few places over there, can't go I into specifics.

Understood on the specifics. Good luck and be safe.

Mine's on the back of the battery access door. Works great.

I considered that, but there is no room on the port one because both batteries are crammed right up to the door. And the starboard door would make the leads stretched so far that I wouldn't be able to remove the access door without disconnecting the leads.

good - I got the grills oriented properly on the Pro-60's

bad - the MB-8's don't have the same system and can't be adjusted like the Pro-60's, so I have one pair straight and one pair cockeyed

Call and ask Omar. I took a Pro80 apart and it looked like it can be done, just not easy. I would suggest pulling the woofer and then the nose of the housing. The drill you new holes and then use SS machine screws and nuts with washers and not reuse the sheetmetal screws because there are now screw bosses in order to relocate.

Huh? Maybe the Ve has a little more room than the RZ's.

That is how mine is set up, I can still remove the door. And the leads are not too hard to disconnect if needed for more room to work.

That stuff can take 24 to cure good. Drill some pilot holes in the trx for the glue to fill into. This adds some teeth to the bond.

This post sums it up from one of my buds:

10 years. 15 deployments. Thousands of combat hours. I've lost friends. I've sacrificed family time. I hated almost every minute, and cursed this douchebag at every turn. It was worth it. Rot in hell, you bastard.

I've flown over afganistan hundreds of times and I'm getting ready to go again at the end of the month. This is not the end of the war, far from it, but it's a turning point.

use 4" deck screws to hold it in place while the glue dries

Wish I had thought about doing that before.

Oh well, if they seem to be solidly set, I will attach it to the transom like I planned. If they seem weak, then I'll try to make the access door work.

Man, that RZ transom is a pain to affix things...lots of angles, bends, and not much flat area (except where the factory sticks the EIDB isolator).
