        Amsoil replied to someone that there 10w40 was basically a straight 40W but had cold start properties that allowed them to give it the 10W40 designation. I am no expert. Amsoil is expensive so it must be good, right.

              I am glad I am not the only one. I see a guest is looking fro oil information.

              I read that some put a multi weight oil in and then dumped it to put in a single weight.

              If mult weights are not good why would the dealers use it? And Tige recommend it.

                I would think with minimal use and changing every year it should stay clean. I want to say that they stuff that is in there now is clean or looks like new.

                                Depends on what was in there to begin with. You don't want to mix them. Mine had 30W. I have not heard too many others that have 30W.
