On your boat, the alt wire should be attached to the center post of the isolator. Did you raise the RMPs off idle?

yes we drove it around to warm it up and ran the stereo then noticed only 12.1 volts so cut off stereo and reloaded it on the trailer.our boat says EIDB on the invoice, but only has a on/off perko.

Thats sounds right as far as the ON/OFF and EIDB.
Sounds like you may have a dead or shorted house battery. Will the stereo play normal with the engine off?

I assume the isolator is the thing bolted to the transom behind the batteries.
Sounds like it.

I'm glad you are busy in the shop! I'll let you know when I know something definite. Has most of the gear shown up?
All of the Kicker and most of the incidentals.

i haven't tried that.i will take batteries out and recharge them tomorrow.i had one on trickle charge at home and one in the boat on trickle charge. However when i went to put impellar in i noticed trickle cable off.i suspect it's when we got life vests out the boat for florida trip 2 weeks ago.
