I have heard that it is similar to ballast it doesn't take long before you want to move on / up. When I got my surf board one of the things that I struggled with was getting a board that might only last a couple of times (based on advancing). It seemed to me that it would be better to maybe struggle a little more when learning but have one board that lasted as you advanced.
I have also heard all sorts of different opinions on what board and what type of board for beginners.
After I bought my wakeboard I found out that it was classified as an advanced board. This was also after several sales people who knew my condition recommended it. After riding it, I have only ridden about 6 times, I don't know how you would tell it from a beginner board. To me it has been easy to ride.
Maybe that is my inexperience.

So, I was on the Tige website, trying to find the section with the Team Tige sponsored riders. I can't find it anywhere. Seems dumb to me that, if you pay (whether it's money or free use of boat) to sponsor professionals, why on earth would you not promote "your" riders. At least have a listing or something. They used to, but seems to have gone bye bye...
