Im lost without the PW thread!!!!

When I ordered my prop I contacted ACME first, as was suggested. It seems that they based it off of the prop that was on the boat rather than what the options were or what others were using or could be used on the boat. I finally had to ask them about the 1235 and it almost seemed that they did not know about that one. I do not know if they have a bunch of guys replying or just a couple.

I was finally able to get some service records on my boat. It was serviced at a place that sold Tige several dealers ago in Utah. They also sold other brands. I found out that they had to have the prop repaired. If I was a betting man they either swapped props on accident or swapped them instead of fixing the bad prop, the new prop being one from another brand. I have not been able to find any other Tige owners using the same prop. When I asked ACME some follow up questions about it they had told me it was a prop for another brand.

IMO, any tige with a 1.5:1 gear running the 537, the 1235 will be a good upgrade for surfing and boarding, but is not the universal "best".

I know another guy that bought a used Tige from a Utah dealer and it came with trashed underwater gear. They fixed it and installed the wrong prop. He upgraded to the 1235 based on what was on his boat and what he thought he knew. After that, the boat would barely get over 30 and sucked the gas bad.

After trashing the running gear again ( i think he did the first time myself) he finally got the right prop on it. Moral of the story, know what gear ratio you have Oh, hes selling the boat along with the 2 incorrect props

the few new bu's I've checked this year do not have the 537....can't remember maybe 1469's

Does this have anything to do with the 3 blade versus 4 blade (based on the transmission)?

The Nautiques at the Denver boat show had the 1235. That was the only boats that I checked.

maybe kko is going to go to mccormicks with me.i also am going to stop by fortes inboard while i'm down there.maybe if i'm lucky they will take me for a ride.i'll just have my watson hybrid with me,but i've ridden it behind the boat also.it's got tons of speed and pop.

Yes. Within the ACME family, their 3-blades seem to be best suited for the 1:1 gears and the 4-blades seems to fit the 1.5:1 gears.
