Yikes, it's a beautiful 34 degrees today and no snow on the ground. 30 min drive to the mountains and there are feet of snow. Got to love having the best of both worlds!

Taking 2yo to get her second haircut right now. She had one in Texas about 3 months ago but we have to try out a new place for her. Thank goodness for iPhones

I was in scouts from cubs all the way to venture and the order of the arrow. I saw kids get their eagle who couldn't even start a fire because their parents pushed them to just sit and do the book work but they had horrible social and leadership skills. That's why I liked the OA, a little more selective on membership, a lot more competent people there. Woodbadge is good for adults too, I've got to get that done asap when my kids start in the program.

Boyscouts and the OA were the best preparation for leadership in life, if the adults don't micromanage the program and let the kids succeed and/or fail. Kids have to learn how to loose just as much as how to win and succeed.
