Just checked my fuel mileage in my 6.0 diesel the other day. I got 18mpg with all hwy. time and no towing. I call B.S. on someone.

I am completely stock 5.9 with 3.73 4x4 stock sized tires, except for B&W turn over ball mud flaps and DSS (just installed). I have owned it since new and I don't let anybody add fuel, I have put every gallon in it and keep track of the mileage. It has over 113,000 miles. I have pulled light, heavy, ran empty and don't do that well. I went and picked up my boat in Utah and I think I was at 13 - 14 but would have to figure it out. I have tried running at all different speeds, sweet spot is actually about 82 mph . If I drive it at about 40 - 45 mph on flat stuff it gets pretty good but I don't end up getting anywhere.
