Some companies in general, not boat related, would rather make extra and loose sales. I like to support locally but it can be hard sometimes. I have experienced local companies that feel we should be obligated to support them because they are local. I hate haggling, would just rather start with a good price, but I have given local companies a chance and they look at me like I am from outer space. Many times that rolls over to their customer service as well, or lack of.
I lived in a small valley in Utah and would see this a lot.

we are all just trying to make a living the best way we know how. i have always believed volume fair profit will always win over as many huge profit deals as you can get.the difference is one customer tells another how good a deal he got.versus the other who tells MANY people how bad he got screwed.
