There is a World of A$$ show, sort of...

The AVN (Adult Video Network, I think?) and Adult Entertainment Expo just got done with their annual convention here. I've never been to them, either

      Use a four-wheel-drive vehicle

I dunno, we never used anything on ours, but its slope was very minor.

Thanks, mine has a bit of an incline, enough to make it sketchy for the ups guy to walk up and deliver packages. And I need a running start to get my car up it when it's icy. I've been spreading kitty litter but I'd like to find something better.

I used sand when I was in Dallas. The salt will take the top layer of concrete off your sidewalk. It will give it a pool deck look and feel! Some people pay big money for that look.
If its not fun, Why do it?

They say that there are safe alternatives to salt but I have not ever seen any. I've never used Qik-Joe though. Just my opinion but If it melts ice it is bad for concrete and will take off the top finish and then its a matter of time until you are replacing it.
One thing we look for in a house is it has to face south for full sun and it needs a level driveway before we will even look at it
Sorry I know that was not any help

Make sure you get some sand in the garage so when you enter it at 80mph you can get a bite and stop

Snow shovels? Do you just lay them all down perpendicular to your direction of travel, or parallel?

I use a little bit of salt on my concrete driveway, had the same bag for 5 years and finally had to buy a new one. We have a west facing house so we still get some good sun. Last house faced north-east and it didn't melt off hardly at all, learned my lesson on that one.

Kinda funny...down here I prefer a house facing north or east, so the afternoon sun isn't beating down on the front and the garage door. Our first house here faced west. When you went into the garage on a summer afternoon, it felt like a furnace.

Same here, garage is super hot in the summer.
