3-way can be louder but not as accurate or smooth in the frequency response department.
So which do you recommend for my car?

We got to 7 pages because it was the bait 91 terminator thread, a little mean I guess but it was fun.

Well, I agree my first few posts were just having a little fun. The I actually read the test review over on the p/up.com site and come to the conclusion that the test was about as fair as it could be. I hate to say it, but 91T really doesnt have much of a leg to stand on

Go with some 2-way/coax, you will be more them pleased with them, especially if you power them with an amp and and aftermarket head-unit.

              Sounds good.

I will be doing amp and sub down the road.

How do the transmission ratio's play into the truck test? I was reluctant to buy my F150 with the 3.73 rear, but was shown it was the same final drive ratios as the prior years with the 3.55. They had a chart that compared the final drive ratio of the 5-speed auto vs. the new 6-speed for 2010.

I would try and do a 4-chnl amp for the speakers now. They will be much happier, as will you. For new speakers, I would recommend running new speaker wire, so why run the new wire from the speakers to the head-unit, then go back and rerun wire to the amp. If the amp has to wait, then dont run new wire, the original will be fine for a drop-in and play speaker swap.

Next phase, add in a mono amp and sub at what ever you budget could bare.
