Here's what I want to do.

I want to build my own pair of stereo speakers. I have not decided whether I want to do 2 towers with 10" subs on them or 2 smaller towers and one 12" sub. Im leaning towards the 12 right now.

My plan is to build the boxes myself and use all car audio speakers/subs.

I found these Pyle amp/Am-Fm receivers that I think will work perfect for me.

I found these Pyle amp/Am-Fm receivers that I think will work perfect for me.

IMO, A single 12", nicely powered, in a ported enclosure will be far better then a pair of 10's in towers.

This gives you the flexibility to put the sub just about anywhere in the room you wants, and place the tower in front of the seating area.

Is this setup also going to be used for video/TV? If so, go ahead and plane ahead and get a surround front-end that will drive your towers as well as the rear speakers.

For the towers, i'm thinking an 8" mid-bass and 6.5" component set for each one
