I think I am buying another sailboat soon. I am going to be taking lots of parts off her, selling the trailer and cutting her up. she is pretty gone. There is about 1500 lbs of lead, I think, (if not cast iron) in the keel. Anyone need any ballast? Zad?

I almost did the same thing two summers ago. I was going to buy one C&C 24 that was in nice shape, but minimally rigged, and buy another only for the winches, roller furling, and extra rigging.
I bought the Tige' instead.

I'm still looking for a stinkin' trawler. This all started when I told my brother I was going to build a floating dock to anchor out in the slough we ride in over the summer. He said, "Just buy an old fishing/tug style boat with a big rear deck"
Now I'm hooked on them and want one to cruise in now too.
