Imagine hearing dial-up tones again. Kids today would ask: "what is that?"
    It's not an optical illusion.

My first computer had no storage at all. I had a book next to the computer and you had to type the code for the program you wanted to use each time you turned it on. It was a HUGE day when we got a tape drive to store the programs we would write so we didn't have to type for an hour to get a program to run.

I'm pretty good at typing though...

Oh the days... We used to listen to music by spinning this huge black disk with spiral canyons cut in it. We drug a boulder through the canyon... The boulder was connected to a coil if wire or a magnet, and it made this tiny electrical voltage we had to amplify the crap out of... Oh also, you had to apply this thig called an RIAA EQ curve in order to get any bass out of the system...

You only got about 22 minutes of music from the big black disc... On one side any way... You could turn it over and drag a boulder through a canyon on the other side....

I remember dropping my punch cards on my way to my Computer Science final in HS. Did not do well on that one... We were also learning on the TRS-80 Tandy computer

The 280z were cool - My dad had one and it was like a rocket car - there is a 260z in a storage lot down the road. It has not moved in 5 years.
