Discovered today I had a separated tire tread on my trailer, i thought it was a suspension problem.

Luckily I had them balance the tires to rule out sources of vibration and that's when they found it. You couldn't tell by looking at the side of it, but when it was off the trailer you could tell.

Reminds me...I should consider replacing my tires next year. Hardly any miles, but they will be three years old.

Low profile with a Z rating, ouch
most tire guys have told me it's not the miles that get them it's the constant weight applied to them sitting still that breaks them down.

Carlisle radials, I've heard good and bad, my last boat had them and I never had any trouble

I put the spare on the trailer and bought a Goodyear marathon just cause that's what the trailer shop had in stock.

                              Same as mine.

And yes, I've heard good and bad about them. Also heard good and bad about Goodyear Marathon. Imagine they are pretty comparable.

I've had better luck with them than Goodyears
