MY damn trailer effed up last night. I was backing it into my driveway and the brakes locked up on me. several attempts later I went and got my DVM and found the blue wire shorted to all the other wires and the trailer chassis

I wedged a small screwdriver handle into the tongue to prevent it from applying the brakes and got it backed up.

Ugh, I wonder where it's shorted...

I think you should call out hte trailer manufacture and tell us all that you are ANGRY with them!

seriously though, shorts are not easy to find. You can disconnect everything from the tailights forward testing each time you perform a disconnect.

Probably a horribly inefficient way to go about it though and I am certian a smart person will be along to help you out.
