If you can, find something you love to do and try to find a way to make money doing it. When you find out there is no money in it, get a business degree. Its more versatile than a history or english degree, unless you want to be a teacher. If you are inclined for it an engineering degree is good, especially environmental engineering. The tree huggers will tell us all that the environment is getting worse and worse, so you will always have a job. Not much money in teaching but you get your summers off so that can't be too bad...
