I'm seeing all you guys loving the ACME. I only put 500lbs of lead ballast in and I can feel it. Would love to see how the 1235 changes it...

I'm bett'n yur 99 21V has a 1:1 gear ratio and therefore the 1235 would not be the right choice, but ACME does have one and it's probably gonna be the 911. What size prop are you currently running? 3 or 4 blade?

It's a 4 blade stainless. I haven't even pulled the brass one out of the box to see what it is. Seller just handed it me and I said "oh, thanks..."

Need to confirm what the gear ratio is and what's on there now. This makes for a good starting point for chooseing an upgrade.

With adding the weight I noticed a HUGE diff... It will barley pull out in fact I was going to start a new thread in the ballast section. I am not sure if my motor is producing less power/has and issue or if it is just the weight.

I've got a TON of boat stuff to learn... 1:1 ratios, v-drive maintenance... I better start spending some time in the maintenance forum and reading up I suppose...

My belt squeeks and it's a little annoying, but since I added the lead, it's been squeeking like a mofo and I was scared last night as I was the only one out on the water and if that belt broke or whatever... LOL
