If your nephew is not going to nationals it may be good experience for him to ride in Advanced. It would not effect which division he rides the next year.

Agreed, but I thought it might be good to get a "title" under his belt? Although that could eff up other kids chances that might want to go to FL ?

Yup! His age kinda ruins his Mini Outlaw chances. He turns 9 this Dec. So he'll be Jr. Entro next year...
He's fired up to compete. The best part is, I'm not the one pushing him. My nephew is!

Another thing he could do is ride intermediate and put in some advanced ones for his last couple tricks. He might get bumped, but if he doesn't land them no big deal.

Ah that's true! I know there were a couple kids this year that did that just so they got bumped by the league instead of by choice. Some parents complained that they did tricks that weren't allowed in his class, but one didn't land them so they didn't even count... The other got bumped and he was happy!

A few years back the Jr. Novice could throw a wildcard trick at the end of their run. My son threw a backside 3 at nationals....he could land it, but missed it that day.
