That's probably the best thing to do. Coming from the insurance biz, the police will maybe take a report (most of the time you do it online) just for your insurance, but that;s it. They will not actually investigate.

ya...they don't even really care if someone stole your entire car. Unless they catch someone in the act. I had someone steal my car...drive it 1500 miles and back, I even told them where she was.. and they still didn't do anything.

Were you tying up a launch ramp slot? Or were you in a ready lane/wipedown area? If in a wipedown area - then screw him. If you were doing it on the ramp itself...well, then

I had the trailer in the water a couple minutes longer than usual. The water level was down, so the ramp was steeper than it was all summer. That slowed me down some. Once I got the boat out, we wiped it down faster than usual.

The guy who complained took about five attemps to back down the other ramp.

I pride myself on getting in and out of the water fast. I know I could be quicker, but then I'd have to teach my wife to back up a trailer or drive the boat on the trailer. Maybe next year.

Awe damnit! I left my wallet on top of my boat after fueling up today. Wife called while out on the water "Hey someone found your wallet, but your drivers license and cash is gone"
Thank god my two credit cards (debit cards) were still in it. But my driver license and $180 cash is gone... I believe the retarded kid that found it too, otherwise why would he even bother to report the wallet if all he wanted was the cash?

On a positive note, my nephew landed a toe 5 today! My son is just not getting the fact that you must cross the wake to get chit done though...
