Guess what, local dealer gets all the warranty work, and they do it with a freakin' smile!
I know our former dealer saw the Great Boat Depression coming. He got out of his lease in a big showroom space, set up shop in a tiny place, and planned to make service the primary aspect (and profit center) of the business. He flat out told us that new boat sales were going to be scarce and he couldn't rely on that as the focus of his business.
Of course, after two years he then sold the business and moved to Canada.

Yup. I worked field service (engineer for medical manf.)(went in-house a few years ago) and I know some of the companies are staying afloat on service alone right now...Waiting for another good one!Comment

I bought all my Arc Audio amps from a hookup car audio store about an hour away from me. Saved me over $900.
I needed some extra speaker wire so I bought that from my local shop that cost a lot more. They helped me with the amp config with a smile.Waiting for another good one!Comment
