The 2 cars I sold I had to list at 5 to 7500 below the nada before I even got calls on it.
The car I bought and others I was buying I offered as much at 15k under what they were asking because items are not selling.
My boat I had to list at 3k under the low to get it sold.
Here is what I do and you can take it with a grain of salt. Go to ebay, and look for what you want and see what they are bidding and what are they selling at.
This is a very good indication of what people will pay for the products. Yes it tends to be a bit low, but right now people don't have money and people need money, so the prices are lower. Dealers are trying to get the best out of the price, as are sellers. But the problem is people won't spent it since people don't have the money. IF you have the money you are in an advantage. I waited 8 months to get my car, and I got it for the price I wanted.
Let me know what you think....
also nada tends to offer high. I have found that kbb is the highest, nada is second and edmunds is offering about what you can really get for it, typically only a k or 2 off.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

I got extremely lucky. I bought a 1997 F-250 diesel (the last year before Kalifornia inspects smog on diesels - '98 and newer) about a month ago for $6500. Sold it 2 days later for $8700! LOL Long story why I flipped it so fast but it was a good flip on my part! That was wierd but meh...Waiting for another good one!

I just sold my 98 21i in between high and low NADA. It was a much "cheaper" boat so I think that helped sell it but my phone was ringing none stop after I listed it ( 14K) http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13033
sold it for 13K He had cash on hand and I was tired of people telling me they would have the money. ( plus I had to sell this one to buy the new one so I wanted it gone fast) Sold it within 2 weeks of listing it.

Holy crap. Read this excerpt from the above linked article:
African-American English is "a systematic language variety, with patterns of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and usage that extend far beyond slang," according to the website of the Center for Applied Linguistics, a Washington-based nonprofit organization that says it aims to improve communication through better understanding of language and culture.
"Because it has a set of rules that is distinct from those of standard American English, characterizations of the variety as bad English are incorrect," the center said. "Speakers of AAE do not fail to speak standard American English, but succeed in speaking African American English."
WTF? It has a set of rules? Really? Show me where the hell those "rules" are documented. I want to know what the "rules" are for ebonics.
And, for heavens' sake, we don't want to admonish the speakers of this style of language for failing to learn how to speak English properly. Oh no, we should praise them for speaking this effed-up language so darn well!
Seriously, our country is going down the freakin' toilet when folks want to praise people for not learning how to speak.
