Do you have the maintenance manual? You are right, fronts are a snap and the rears are a bit tricky - the panel has to come off. One thing to note: once the screws are out, lift up not out.
Those speakers sound great, but definitely come to life with the power of an amp.
My system is just complete:
Alpine PDX-5
JL Audio Stealthbox sub (10" W3 sub)
Kicker KS 680's in the rear
Kicker DS 680.2's in the front
Clarion NX700 head unit
Vizualogic head rest screens
Alpine reverse cam
For a truck, the sound is absolutely incredible. I am amazed how much power the Kickers can take. My amp is tested at 135W to the 4 channels and the Kickers are tight, clear and Loud with the gains set fairly aggressively - just below the point of distortion! The JL sub thumps as loud as I need it to.
I am also going to get the Vizualogic head rest dual DVD system to keep the kids content on our drive to & from the lake. From what I have heard, Vizualogic is upgrading it's models and I won't be able to get my hands on the newer models until sometime in September.
How do you like the Stealthbox and Vizualogic head rest units?

I am really, really happy with the sound stage.

The stealthbox is really nice. I dont need to thump the guy next to me, but do like base that accentuates the music I am listening to. The JL accomplishes exactly that. It really thumps and rolls hard at the right times and is not overpowering when it should not be. The great thing (to me) about the stealthbox is that it fits right into the truck and looks like it should be there. I am putting ~400W to mine and if I wanted to, it could thump the truck sideways... I can't imagine what 700W could sound like.Last edited by jwanck11; 08-03-2010, 03:43 PM.

The picture is very clear and it is nice that there is independent control over the brightness, contrast and color. You can also turn each off - they have a power button. I run them off my head unit which has a 2 zone feature allowing the kids to watch a movie while I listen to music. Their control unit is capable sending independent signals to the monitors and will hook up to several inputs. One kid could be watching a movie and the other could be playing on an gaming system... The one thing of caution is that ours did not come with headsets and the only headset "connection" is wireless. I have ordered the headsets, but they haven't arrived yet. Fingers are crossed that they work well. All in all, it is a quality package IMPO! I am not sure what the upgrades are, but I am pleased with what they are as is.

The Vizualogic headrests that I am getting will also be individual DVD players. So, each can play DVDs independently or can function as a monitor and watch the DVD playing in the other unit. The wireless headsets use IR. From what I have heard, the sound quality is not great but they should function OK for kids watching a movie or playing a game. The newer units also have a 1/8" headphone jack (and I believe USB inputs).
I only read one review for the Stealthbox and it was good. It was also recommended to me by a fellow TO who owns a stereo shop and is performing the install. They have already installed some in Tundras. In fact, they installed two in one truck. That is way more than I need. Like you, I am not trying to win a stereo competition, just wanting the system to rock when I want it to.
