    I think it has more reinforcement because of the pop up part..

                    We've only got one small 1-person tube that the boys ride. We pull it from the pylon. If we had one of those huge 3 or 5-person jobbies, I'd be nervous.

                      One person on the bu crew made a good comment pointing out the fact that all tube ropes are rated for 3-6k lbs

                        Ours is a two person, but we pull three on it all the time...but they are kids. Using the tower keeps the rope out of the spray behind the boat...tube moves better.

                            I wonder what forces are generated at the pylon or tower due to tubing...compared to skiing or boarding. There are a ton of variables...
