Yup - they fail to realize that the energy to get the hydrogen from water is not magic. The "zero emissions" is simply at the tailpipe. Admittedly, a powerplant is probably burning the fuel at a higher efficiency than a vehicle's internal combustion engine, but they just don't seem to grasp that hydrogen isn't as clean as they think.

One of the few places that it is a much cleaner system is in Iceland, where they use geothermal energy to electrolize water to get the hydrogen. But that is uncommon. Most just pull it from the nearest coal plant.

And the "true green" sources of wind and soar still have to have devices built to harness them. Where did the manufacturing energy come from to build these things?

Kind of like every time I see a vegetarian eating Jello. That just brings a major smile to my face, thinking how they SO don't understand where the stuff comes from....

I mean, they surely would step back in HORROR if they saw the huge vats of cooked and cleaned animal bones, soaking in acid to break down bones separating the stuff out....

Clean energy, They also do not realize how many of these they will need to supply our power needs. I am not sure we have enough land

My work computer doesn't like Phil's quicktime audio clips.

We used to swap out our batteries every few years with used ones from the golf courses. We could get them cheap, but I'm not sure they even use 6V any more.

I have to believe with our guys working on all the fun special vehicles they do that I can find me a proper source for good batteries.
