I am trying to figure out a good set up for my 10 Y/O beginner daughter.
She can get up fine but she stays in between the wakes.
She just started riding last year behind our I/O and the speedo did not work on that boat until you got above 25 mph so I went by RPM's pulling boarders.
I know it is going to be up to her what is comfortable, but I just do not want to intimidate her with wake size and speed
    Thanks Hoes
By setup, are you referring to boat setup, or board/equipment?

But no, I don't have my kids boarding yet.

No really I just meant speed, She has her own board and new hand me down bindings this year. I think it will be trial and error to just go fast enough to keep her afloat. She complained yesterday of me going too fast. I never got over 18mph. I was just wondering if anyone pulling younger kids had a speed that seemed to work well. on boat set up I figured no ballast and TAPS at 1-2 but maybe some bow ballast would help keep the wake down for her also. I have seen some discussion on rope length, would a shorter rope work better for learning? I have not taken anything off but I think that the Wakeboard rope has 2 sections you can take off......

Well, don't know about kids, but my wife is not a good wakeboarder, only tried a few times. I kept it down around 18, taps 1-2. Short rope is fine, but that really doesn't matter if they are not trying to jump the wake.

                  Cable buddy! Interesting.

Especially like the picture...lube, and what looks like parts to some sort of pump

Thanks Dingle, I was thinking the same. Thank for confirming!
