so u need inernet access for you and your wife. I'd get smart phones.

do you have to have a comp at the house or can a smart phone work?

i'd probably look at sprint and use their "MiFi" which broadcasts a inernet signal via wifi to any wifi device in your house.

then get the phones you like...

Not that I know of, just air cards. But Im sure you can run the connection through a computer and broadcast wifi in your house if wished.

I'm no help on air cards or iPhones....I did set up a wireless network at home a few years back and added a wireless printer that came with our new mac.
