What is a good wakeboard line (or package with handle) that doesn't break the bank?

Wish I knew you were looking a couple weeks ago. I got a Proline LG handle with SK mainline for $52 combined on clearance. But they are sold out now.

For the handle, it really helps if you can feel a few at a shop. I find that there are some I really like, and some that I just hate.

For the rope, I think most of them are based on just a couple different materials (dyneema is one - just don't get poly line, as that is the same as ski rope), and are pretty similar. Main differences are jacketed or not (jacket makes it smoother when the rider grabs it as the boat passes by and getting into position), and then the length and segments.

Main brands to consider are Proline, Accurate, Straightline, and several of the board brands have their own (Hyperlite, Byerly, etc.).

Oh, Fit - one thing that I like, if available in the packages you find, is to get the rope in a bright neon color (green, pink, orange) as it makes it much easier to see and track the line in the water....just a little extra help to make sure you don't accidentally run over it.
