        The same connection / wire brings the brake AND the turn signal, but the turn signal works, brake doesn't.

                      I think that it has to be in the light assembly itself or wiring on the trailer. I don't think it is in your truck. Assuming that the lights being replaced were working properly, I would guess it is not the wiring in the trailer. What about the connections from the trailer wiring to the lights? I'm sure you've probably double-checked. But, I'm just trying to help think of anything that it could possibly be.

                      If you have a multimeter, can you measure the connections on both and see if the same voltage is coming through?

                      Did you buy the lights locally? If so, you may want to exchange them.

                          so what do you do if the lighting issues do start at your vehicle? cause mine def. doesnt work and its not the trailer
