I actually finished everything this weekend, I forgot to upload the pictures yesterday, but I'll do it when I get off work
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid.

@Guapo - saw your post on the Norris event thread. No problem on the specific count yet. My boat dealer and I are just trying to get a rough idea so that we can plan accordingly.

You know how it is...I'm still trying to plan what I'm doing this weekend...let alone in July.

I don know that I have a commitment here in Louisville on the Thursday of the reunion...so that day is out. The earliest I could head to the lake would be that Friday. I might be able to hook up in the evening that day at best.

I'm definitely planning on all day Saturday. Sunday will be part of the day...and possibly all day if I decide to head home on Monday. We'll see...

P-Dog...you been out on the lake much recently? I motored around for a few minutes while the boat lift guy made some modifications. I was surprised at the amount of debris still floating around. I expected it the after the big rain a few weeks ago, but I thought it would have settled out by now. Of course, I'm at the end of one of the creeks, so I'm sure it clears out of there last. I guess I was just a bit surprised.

I'm with you on the planning - I'm still undecided about lunch. Oh wait, I packed my lunch.

If the weather is nice on Memorial Day weekend, we may do a cruise over to your side of the lake.

Let me know if you do, maybe we hook up and meet face to face. I'll be down there even if the house isn't ready....though I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

In the early Spring, especially after the lake has risen so quickly, the debris can be bad. Per your comment, it is compounded the further up the creek you are. Once the lake gets a little busier, we have a couple windy days and they begin to drop the level from full pool, most debris gets hung back up on the shore.

I haven't run near Twin Cove in the early Spring, only in July or August. So, I can't warn you of any particular areas. When we were there in the Summer, we never had any problems with debris.

Definitely. I will give you ( or your wife ) a shout if we do.

One big uh-oh happened. As we were cruising to the far side of the lake, almost the entire bimini ripped off the tower, bending several of the support poles

I think what happened, is that one of the support pieces is made up of two tubes, which are simply crimped together. No set screw or pin or anything else. I think that joint came apart, and then the same joint on the other side. Then the two main front supports ripped out of their sockets (the set screws were unable to hold it back).

Guess I have a trip to the dealer this week. Hopefully they will just replace the whole setup under warranty, but we'll see.
