All controllers have both, Sixaxis and dualshock 3. As long as they are the stock sonys, Idk about aftermarkets.

Most of the inboard or direct drive trailers I have seen have the rudder protected by the prop guard also. and all of my boats in the past have been sitting fully on the bunks, that boat has some overhang off the bunks

All of the stock remotes are rechargeable. You can charge them with a mini usb on the console or invest in a wall charger which is what I did. As the remotes will not charge with the system in standby.

I know nothing about the dreamgear one....
