hey Dingle, do you lock your spare to your trailer with anything (cable, etc?) I am petrified that someone is going to steal my spare tire.
Not yet I haven't. I need to find a padlock (or something) that will not seize up by being repeatedly submerged. After looking at it last weekend, I am now paranoid of it being stolen.
So are you saying his boat swang into the side of the trailer?
No I think upward force was applied to the rudder which weakend the fiberglass where the rudder guide is mounted. Without looking at it in person I will never be able to say for sure. For all I know a 40 lb carp could have slipped in there while he was making that hard left turn

Common Sense is not so Common
Looking for fat chicks for long walks, romance, cheap buffets, and BALLAST.
So friggen bummed. New truck, all kinds of maintenance to the boat and trailer, hooked up the electric and no trailer lights. Have to wait for all the rain to clear to try to see what the problem is.

Your not I work with iron and steel, it bends and more importantly flexes, on my trailer the guard is welded I noticed on his that it is bolted on which would allow it to flex even more, part of my job is investigating incidents and I've learned that nothing ever can be ruled out. And that no one can tell you what exactly happened by looking at a picture, as they can be deceiving, it's all good Zad it's just my opinion
