Let me preface this by saying that this is what I have heard and read. I do not know this all 100%, but it seems to be what happens.

For many of the technology-based products (speakers, EQ's, underwater LED's, etc.), it seems that he somehow finds which factory (in China, usually) makes a product for one of the big names like WetSounds, or Bullet Speakers, or Ocean LED. Then he seems to cut a backdoor deal with the factory and gets them to manufacture and ship him the "same" product with maybe a very slight exterior look.

He therefore does not do the R&D investment, and basically steals the intellectual property of the investor. He then sells essentially the same product for much cheaper. Of course he has less invested in it.

A year or two ago he was "coming out" with a new EQ system, with tower/in-boat speaker fader function, and a talk-back PA system through the tower speakers. Sound like the WS 420? It even looked EXACTLY like the WS 420. The only difference, cosmetically, was the Krypt logo instead of the WS logo. Tim White found out and got it stopped before it hit the market.

These new HLCD speakers of his seem to be based upon the Bullet Speakers tower speakers. The only difference looks to be a very slightly different grill, and he doesn't load them into enclosures.

Anyway, like I said, this is all rumor, but it sure seems to look like the way he practices business.
