There are some features that I believe version 2 will have that I will want. For me though, I'll pass mine along to one of my kids and get the new one for meOriginally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

I'm pretty bad at sniping. I typically stick with the M4 and the UMP...

3 years ago I was out at the lake, late on Sunday afternoon. It was a quiet weekend, very few folks there because it was REAL windy. The lake manager comes to my place, he needs help, and the Lake Poice aren't there. there is a sailboat foundered on the north shore getting just beat up by the wind, and two people on it scared for their life. I loaded up some rope and some life vests and headed out, with the help of another guy who worked at the lake.
We got out there to the folks, 3' or 4' swells, and they are back buried in a cove with about 4' of water. I throw them the coiled rope; maritime law thing; if they toss me the rope secured to their boat, THHEY are liable for damages to their boat, so I toessed them a free rope to start with... I was not tying to mine and throwing to them, else I am liable for damage. I am stern-drive, so I have my drive in trailer-trim mode, and I am still concerned about slamming the bottom. The couple secure the rope to their boat, and then they throw the line to me and the guy on my boat. We get a bridle rigged up so we are pulling from several hardpoints. It is blowign so hard, I am having to trust the other guy to do a lot of the rigging, so I can focus on not grounding the boat and keeping it pointed into the wind. I holler at the couple to just grab hold of their sailboat, and hang on. They could not climp in it; it was just too rough.
We get out where it is deep enough to not be concerned about bottoming, but I need to get the couple on board my boat, safely. We go into idle, and immediately we are broad-side being threatened with a roll. I look back and they are still hanging onto the sailboat. The guy with me is pulling in the line to get the sailboat close to me. I quickly throw the boat back in gear and stary to try to get pointed back into the wind. Not sure where communication broke down, but almost in an instant while idling in gear, the people swam over and climbed on-board... I have a set-back drive, so it is tucked under, but still, they were back there struggling with getting up the swim ladder, with the boat in gear.
When I relized what could have happened, I went totally ghost white. Even typing this I get physically sick and shake thinking what could have happened that day. Had something happened, it certainly would have been my fault.
Luckily, with the grace of God and a few dozen angels apparently, we all got back safe that day.Last edited by philwsailz; 04-06-2010, 05:35 PM.It's not an optical illusion.
