          Another idea:

          Use the bimini hard-points for a VERY LIGHT overhead bar that the cans can hang from. I never tow anything, so the load is only the cans. It would be like a tower, only tower-light, and quciky removed....
          It's not an optical illusion.
          It just looks like one.....

                My uncles supra window closes tight and when on the trailer it flexes enough that it opens and closes perfectly.

                  I think you could make that work, you could almost eliminate front to back movement with bimini type support straps but I think you would need some sort of cross bracing or straps to cut down on lateral movement

                    I would not even need straps. I would keep the rig low, and there are two threaded bimini inserts on each side, so a bar would have 4 places to attach... The bar low, ties to the windshield would be super rigid; not unlike a shock tower brace in an older mustang or a tuner car...

                        If you put a all thread connecting the support bar in its middle you could adjust your window clearance
