Any of you tried the new Canon EOS Rebel T2i EF-S? I have a rebel XT which does a fine job for my level of expertise, but I like the new canon dslr's that also do HD video. Should be more efficient only having to lug one device around (in the boat and elsewhere) in lieu of two.

Anyone tried one or know someone who has?

It's a good dog and we like having it around, but would like to have a bit more control over sending it home. Kinda like my parents with my kids. They love having them over, but also being able to send them home when they are done.

We had to put one of our dogs down about six months ago. He had been our first "child" and it was tough. My wife was saying that she did not want to get another puppy, that if we get another some time, it will be a grown-up pound rescue.

Then a couple weeks ago she saw a video of some lab puppies, and our friends' daughter just got a lab puppy. Combined with our boys talking about wanting a puppy (since they did not know our dogs as puppies)...now my wife is talking about getting another puppy.

              Yup, mine too. Sorry, Guapo.

You could always start a new thread about cameras. It's always entertaining to have jwanck and ray thompson argue about camera stuff.

For what it's worth...this little camera is awesome for what it does. It's really small. Takes good pictures and it does HD video. And it's inexpensive. I carry this with me a lot since it fits nicely in a pocket.

I mainly use my DSLR for action shots (kids sports, boarding, etc) and when I need the zoom. I'm definitely a novice...

                crap...photo didn't load...i'll post again...

That does rank up there with one of the toughest things we've gone though so far, After the six month of we were never going to get another dog the girls found a springer spaniel puppy, then after another year we looked at lab puppies which is what our first one was. Never go look!! it is over after you get the girls and wife loaded up in the unit to go look at puppies.
I should start naming them after things I cannot purchase any more like Wet Sounds and Surf Board
