Could have come from auction. I deal with a car broker for my fleet vehicles and he gave me his logon info for Manheim (largest auto auction company) so I could look for vehicles going to auction (this was last year...was looking for a 08 or 09 Land Cruiser for my wife). Seemed like most of the nice cars on there had all that stuff stripped from them. I believe they are repo's and the people screw with them by taking anything they can just to piss off the bank

That is exactly what this was. My cousin is a dealer and has access to manheim. We were watching repos that were all banged up go up for auction and then we bought this one immediately as it was listed by a small car lot in Indiana on the Manheim site. It was a lease turn in that was sold at auction and bought by this dealer. So yeah, everything was stripped, but it was in better shape. A lot of those repos had damage on all panels, both running boards non-operational etc. We lucked out I think.

A lot of them are junk. You just need to know what to look for. I ended getting my wife's 08 Land Cruiser up in Michigan...new in 09 for only a few grand more than the ones on manheim. Felt like it was a good deal...

That land cruiser would pull the boat well. That engine is a beast!
