        Define "reinforced".

I think that all current Tige V-drives just bolt through the top of the fiberglass only. A lot of folks have called it the "pansy pylon" because it does not extend down to attach to stringers, hull, engine mounts or anything. The fiberglass there is strong enough to handle a waterskier, and many people tow tubes from it, but it is a debate about just how strong the setup is.

I'm not sure if the fiberglass is extra thick or reinforced in that area.

I just read an article on the dangers of heavy drinking... Scared the crap out of me. So that's it! After today, no more reading

            Sounds like a prudent solution.

Hmmm... I guess Im trying to figure out if the Pylon is gonna be strong enough to support putting a boom on it.

May be worth calling Tige directly and asking their opinion and recommendation.

um... kinda. Going to the drag strip tonight. house work and chores of course... not much really. Maybe go to the Houston Rodeo/concert sat.. depends if my step bro has extra tickets.

Sunday it's yard work and pack for my trip to LA to get my elbow fixed.

You will be fine. There are also two stainless steel cables that attach to the bow. Those actually are responsible for most of the force on the boom.

They also make tower booms. A bit more expensive though.(about 200 bucks more)

Sorry couldnt find a pic with a Tige.
