yeah that's what I was thinking... I just don't know how long a "while" is when basically for 5 years she stuck by my crap. Not that it was all bad... there was good...

I figure I'll suck it up till she gets done with school so she is not as stressed about it, and then if it's still ugly, do what you said, and move on I guess Just sucks cuz I finally figure it all out, and tell her and she does this... WTF? Her best friend when I talked to her said she never thought it would come out of my mouth, let alone this soon...

I'm not gonna run to someone else yet. I have jumped from relationship to relationship (only 2 serious) so I'm gonna stop and learn to be happy alone right now. Friend suggested that and I think it makes some sense.

Honestly, while not normal for every situation, the relationship side of things you describe is not uncommon. You guys have time...

Just don't wait too long; I realize that come my kid's graduation, (not conceived yet) I will be the old guy in the walker; folks will walk up to me and ask which one is my grandchild.... Then congratulate my "daughter" standing next to me for getting me to the graduation ceremony...

i know we have time. I just didn't want to have kids when I'm 40... and it seems that's the age I'm going to be lol...

Oh well. I'll just keep on trucking. It gets easier every day. Give her the space, yet still show her I'm still around a few times a month by a text or flowers. Let her do her thing. I'll work on the things I need to do to make me happy, as well as some of my issues that bothered her, since they will bother others as well, and keep on trucking. Just sucks. I Need this elbow fixed now so I can work out and burn off steam and what not to make me feel better.

that made me laugh. ha ha ha!! Yeah see I'm afraid I waited too long. She stood by me for 7.5 years, would be 8 this month. and I finally realized it. If I would have realized it sooner... (i also told her that if I had not gotten hurt I was gonna propose to her, as well as was planning on it before we moved, but the move messed crap up. Think that scared her, esp since there is this new guy that has an interest in her, and she him, so it has her thinking/questioning if I was the one) all that make sense?

You need to give that arm time to heal too..... Don't push it. You guys know about my hips, but I did a compound tib-fib fracture in 1984 and it took me 5 years and 9 operations to get it back together. 3 months in a wheel chair, 6 weeks in sterile isolation, (big staph infection) the first year with a cane and a non-union at teh fracture...It would have gone a lot different if I had cooled my jets a litle....

Heck, I guess as I type this you kow how to be patient, what with all you hav gone through. Hang in there!

yeah I'll give it time, but as soon as they say I can, i'm hitting the gym. I wanna get my upper body back in shape. also gonna order a racing wheel chair and start doing tri's again. That will also get my mind off the x (or what ever she is...) and keep the good endorphins pumping through my body.
