Im lost without the PW thread!!!!

All,

I sent this to dingleberry but wanted you all to know why I closed the thread as well.

I closed the thread mainly because of the content. I felt that the PW thread did not reflect the image of Tigé and Tigeowners.com. I do not feel that images of borderline porn and other derogatory images reflects what this forum stands for.

I try to walk a fine line with representing Tigé and the owners on this forum and rarely close or delete any threads in the 6 + years that I have been doing this. I'm actually very passive on most threads and content but the whole reason of that thread didn't serve a purpose except for a given few.

I wouldn't mind if you all wanted to start a thread that was similar however I expect the same results as some people can't adhere to the Terms & Conditions on this site. If there is another thread that contains anything with libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, and pornographic material the thread will then get closed again.

The last reason was the load that thread was putting on the site and Data base. The forums weren't meant for several members to post every 30 seconds.

I hope you guys understand my reasoning.

I totally understand. So basically, if it's kept family friendly, we can continue our online "watercooler"? I'm good with whatever, I want to be a good corporate citizen of this site and Tige in general.

One question. I realize that this fourm isn't meant for us to reply every 30 seconds and what not. Is there not a way we could have a "chat room" "water cooler" where we an all talk that wouldn't tax the data base? I know I enjoy it to get away from work and see how all my online friends are doing, so happens here at work I can't view just about every chat site out there as well as external IM sites.

We asked him of this before he created the new look. From what I remember, he didn't want to put the IM features into this forum since there is other software that would meet "our" needs and therefor wouldn't tax the server as much.

Well, probably a good thing for me. I was running out of search terms to find new material constantly.

While I understand that some of our previous posts may have pushed the boundary, I will say that we generally tried to police ourselves pretty well. I guess we just need to view the boundary along the lines of: "If it is too risque for Tige to print in their advertising, then it is probably too much to post in here."

Fortunately, Tige does use very attractive females in bikinis in their advertising.

And, I guess posting linked pic after linked pic for minutes on end may be frowned upon.
