New bilge pump in the works

    Comment

I was on the sunpad while we were teaching some kids to wake surf on Saturday. There were a bunch of idiot boats, all pulling tubes, that were coming with 15 feet of us. I caught a glimpse of another one doing it and turned to say something and saw it was the Ranger.

Good thing I didn't yell anything. I got a little worried that they would say something but they didn't.

When they were on the way out i was expecting something because they got so close again but they just kept going.

Skippa I engaged my parking brake for roughly 0.2 seconds and the lights cleared. After asking around some here is what I think happened. The air suspension computer freaked out think there was more tongue weight than allowed. So it tripped all the traction control, ABS and other various lights. Oh and the boat was not hooked up when I pulled the parking brake while driving.

As long as there is not any traffic coming out of the ramp I hurry and pull the plug and hit the empty on the ballast then have my wife drive slow up the ramp. I always get a kick out of the rangers asking can you turn your bilge on? They see the plug is out and I tell them it is an auto if there was any water in there it would've already kicked on. They still don't get it and want it on.

Tim that was hilarious when Nick asked Emily for her autograph!

I have heard that vehicles with the air suspension start to have issues when towing.

Hope you get it figured out or get your new tow vehicle.

Bruizza what is your review of the RZ so far?

I towed with a Yukon Denali with the air ride suspension last summer and never had any issues. I'm thinking I might get away from the air ride stuff on my next vehicle.

I am considering a Denali XL as my next work car that I could double as a tow vehicle. The air suspension does have me concerned.

So far I freaking love it.

Wakeboard wake. Great blend of ramp and vert. Multiple who have hit it have stated it it their favorite wake. One of the better riders I know who has an older VLX said it was the first boat/wake that made him feel like he needs to upgrade.

Surf wake. Just unbelievable and that is without any extra surf sacs or custom sacs. We never surfed much but decided we wanted to get into it more. We sure picked the right boat for wakeboarding and surfing. We had 12 people on the boat on Saturday and it didn't feel crowded at all so that was an awesome bonus. Surf wave was easily waist high on my buddy who is 6'4. He said the wave was so good it was almost like cheating.

Was it the Axis that you towed?
