I called my local credit union today. I had an RV loan with them a few years back. I explained the situation and she listened and then asked if she can go ahead and pull my credit. I said okay.
Her response was "I don't see anything here that you spoke of."
I said "Carry on" Then she called me a few hours later.
"Five, I have a question about your credit report."
I chit my pants and asked...
Her: "I see you have a loan with Wells Fargo for an auto?"
Me: "Ah, that's just been paid off"
Her: "Oh, well I was just going to tell you I can probably beat that interest rate if you want to refinance that car too."
LOL, no only did I get chit straight I was offered even better deals!
We love our credit union just as much as they love us. We were getting so much flack on the price of the boat that our main bank (US BANK) wouldn't lend us the money. We went round and round for a week straight. We were more than qualified that wasn't the issue. They pre-approved us for $90k. They just didn't feel the price for the 08 brand new 20v was worth the $35k we bought it for, and we put $6k down and only financed $29k. So after the dealer took my old boat on trade, and paid off our old boat loan through US BANK. I pulled all of our accounts, and moved them over to the credit union. I had been with US bank for over 20 years. Not even 24 hours after I closed my accounts I got a call from a district manager asking why I left. I explained that I was able to purchase the boat I wanted within the terms I felt were reasonable, and that her institution felt that my purchase was to much of a risk. Also explained that in doing so they didn't take into account the human factor that I had the ability to pull all my accounts and transfer them some place else in the matter of days.
We had my savings, checking, both mine and my wife's roth IRAs, and some other investments that we cashed out. It's been almost a year, and I am still getting letters from them asking for me to come back.
This is what started it all:
Loan lady: "Hey, I see you have your truck through US Bank."
I said "Yep, sure do."
Loan lady: "How about you refi your truck with us, and will give you one point lower on your boat?"
I said: "What interest rate on the on the truck?"
Loan lady: "2.99% on the truck and 5% on the boat."
I said: "DONE! I will even buy you lunch."
My wife and I were so pleased with the transaction that we gave her a $100 gift certificate to one of the steak houses at the casino. Granted I used comp points, but it was an awesome week for the Hyphen family
Well it depends on where you want to go. If you are looking for party scenes, etc. they you'll want to head south to Stockton, closer to Discovery Bay quite a ways from Lodi. If you want pure quiteness then you'll want to stick closer to Lodi, slightly north of there. This is what I'm expecting you'll want.
Launch at tiny run down marina called Wimpy's. GET A MAP OF THE NORTH DELTA.
And beware of the north delta. STAY IN THE MIDDLE AT ALL TIMES. There's plenty of prop eating debris on the sides.
More than welcome to join, and be our beer guide... err I mean delta guide. HAHA!

I'd love to. If I have an Axis, I'll likely be a 2nd boat guide. But if I don't I'm probably going to head up to Camp Far West and watch my Buddy James win the Wakesurf Open.
I'm more than qualified too... WF is gonna wish they didn't jack with me. The lady they put in charge of my 'complaint' is going to get 4-5 phone calls a day just like they did when they tried to collect on a wrongful charge.

That's right... The girls screwed up those plans cause of Zinfest. DOH!
