Skippa, you still have that popping sound? Popping is typically a sign of a bad ground. I know you have checked and rechecked your wiring. I hope you get it figured out. If nothing else take it to your local stereo shop, and pay them a few bucks to fix, and have them tune your amps while they are at it. Nothing like having a professional make slight adjustments to have your stereo sound even more killer than what it all ready is.

I disagree! It's much easy with them down, maybe it's because I'm short

I don't think there is a descent stereo place close by. I only have 8 gauge running to the amps. It might be time to run the correct wire and it might resolve the issue.

I could see that... I am 5'11 so it's not that big of a deal. I have one speaker whose adjustment bolt needs to be re-tapped I think. The others screw and unscrew on without hardly any effort.

on a side note.... My EQ has an AUX in that I think I am going to set up with an 1/8 inch to RCA to allow my buddies without iphones or ipods to be able to listen to their music if they want.

Yeah, run a 0 guage of power and ground to a distro block, and then run 4 gauge to your amps. They will love you for that.
