* SUMMARY AND TIMING... SNOWFALL ASSOCIATED WITH A STRONG AREA OF LOW PRESSURE APPROACHING FROM THE WEST WILL BEGIN OVER NATRONA COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON... WITH PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. SNOW LEVELS WILL START AT AROUND 6000 FEET THIS AFTERNOON... DROPPING TO THE VALLEY FLOOR BY THIS EVENING.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... SNOWFALL OF 10 TO 20 INCHES IS EXPECTED OVER CASPER MOUNTAIN. SNOWFALL OF 7 TO 14 INCHES WILL BE FOUND ELSEWHERE IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS IS EXPECTED TO FALL ALONG FAVORED AREAS... INCLUDING THE VICINITY OF HILAND AND ALONG THE CASPER MOUNTAIN FOOTHILLS.
* WIND AND VISIBILITY... NORTHEASTERLY WIND OF 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO OVER 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF WESTERN NATRONA COUNTY AND MAY CREATE LIMITED VISIBILITIES ALONG HIGHWAYS 20 26 AND 220.
* IMPACTS... MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL BRING SNOW PACKED ROAD CONDITIONS ACROSS NATRONA COUNTY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ALONG HIGHWAYS 20 26 AND 220 AS WELL AS ALONG ROADWAYS TRAVELING ALONG CASPER MOUNTAIN INCLUDING CASPER MOUNTAIN ROAD.
