Ok so question, why do companies ship stuff in different packages?

walmart is sending my PS3 in right now 3 different packages with still 3 things not being sent yet.

yesterday it was my headset, 90 minutes ago it was my second controller, and then 60 minutes ago it was my console, all via fed ex... how is this profatble when I just spend 5 dollars to ship??? (or was it free?)

That doesnt make sense. Its got to be cheaper to do it all in one box. Someone is paying for it. I love it when you get this big huge box and inside of it is another smaller box with something that is so small you could of sent it via the postman.

Kind of like when airlines charge more for direct flights than for flights with two or more legs. How can it be cheaper to fly me and my bags on two planes in lieu of one...

they charge for the convience, because most are for business so they know they will pay it. and as long as there is a spot, it really doesn't matter if they fly you to 5 spots instead of 1, the plane is still going, might as well make it full.
