Chp, can I tap into the 12v sorce at the breaker box or do I need to bring a new wire from the battery? I figure the breaker will go into that box.

Yes, you can pull your B+ for the switches from the breaker box under the helm.

I really like the snap together unit. I will probably use that one as it overall is narrower. I like that either style gives a little extra room for errors in cutting.
