I'm thinking of buying 2 macs.A imac 21.5" with the 2.7 Ghz quad core i5 and 4GB memory with a 1TB hard drive for the office.Also a 11.6" macbook air with 64GB flash storage with a 1.6Ghz i5 core and 3mb shared L3 cache.That would be my on the go computer.What do you computer guru's think?

I would maybe scale back that 1tb drive, and increase your RAM, or if you can swing it add more ram to that build. I would also hold of on the mb air. I believe there is a new model coming out. There is an announcement for the new iPad in march, and I bet you they will announce a few more new things.

Other than that your specs are good. That iMac will out live a regular windows desktop almost 3 to 1. My two cents.

11.6 MacBook isn't much bigger than an iPad. With the 64gb The 2gb's depending on what you are going to do with it will go quick.

We have a base 13" MacBook air at home and for work I have a MacBook air that is maxed out with the 1.8ghz i7 and 256gb. All that being said I use my iPad 2 more than any of them for work.
