We drove down to Carlsbad on Fri evening. Wife and her friends ran in the Carlsbad 1/2 marathon on Sunday. Just hung out around there and San Diego Sat and Sun.

Yesterday we drove up and took the kids to Disneyland. Then drove home last night. Back at work today.

BTW - if anyone wants to visit Disneyland and avoid the crowds, I have three suggestions. 1- apparently Jan & Feb are slightly less crowded than the rest of the year. 2- go on a weekday on which all the locals are in school. 3- and this is the most important - go on a day that rain starts falling early in the morning and continues steadily all day. It seems that most visitors are scared of getting wet, so the park was damn near empty yesteday. Not kidding - the wait times for most all the rides were measured in seconds instead of minutes or hours. The dinglets had a great time, and we were happy to not be standing in lines all day long.

Thanks, a half isn't really a big deal to her anymore. She usually does a few each year. I would die if I tried to run that far, but it's just another run to her.

Good to know we are going next month. But our daughter will only be 10 months old so I don't think she will care either way lol.

Well, at that age she might not care for the rain, either. Our boys are eight years old and have no problem running around all day in wet shoes and pants, so it worked out perfectly for them
