So this weekend, I had a broken starter-to-ignition wire (at the starter, a faulty starter relay, and my impeller went south. To my credit, I used my Rube Goldberg-ish skills to remove the impeller, disconnect a hose, hook a garden hose from my 800# ballast bag to the inlet of my pump, flip on the discharge pump on the bag, and run the boat to the marina off of the bag. I had the impeller changed in less than 15 minutes and we were back on the water. Great weekend to be mechanical.
